Pre-school class for kids age 1-5 years. A weekly one-hour class is taught in Russian only and includes storytelling, songs, counting, crafts, letter and sound recognition.

Elementary Russian language for children (5-12yrs old), with emerging reading and writing skills. This class will cover the grade 1 curriculum of typical Russian school. It is a continuation of last year (Cats) class and it will focus on writing and grammar as well as reading comprehension. (in Russian)

Intermediate/advance Russian for older children (10-18yrs. old) with strong reading and writing skills (Lions) Class will follow the curriculum of upper elementary requirement of typical Russian school. Long-term goal: grammar, vocabulary of 1400 new words, ability to express their thoughts in Russian on a given subject, writing an essay of 100 words.

This class is a study of fundamentals of Russian phonetics, grammar, vocabulary, pattern sentences, drills, readings and cultural aspects of communication.
Goals:
There are three goals in this class:
First, the class will provide students with understanding of phonetics in which most Russian sounds are explained via a comparison with their English counterparts, and pronunciation, reading and spelling rules.
Second, this class will give students understanding of grammar rules of spoken Russian based on carefully selected vocabulary. The texts reflect the various conversation topics.
Third, the class will give a deeper understanding of Russian culture.
Students' expectations from the class study: students will learn approximately 2,000 words, be familiar with the Russian idioms, speech patterns and sentence structures. They should be ready to answer questions and participate in conversation and read stories. Each lesson will have a nonverbal communication part of study about Russian culture: unspoken messages and culture differences to increase students' awareness of how they can use nonverbal communication to enhance their commun'cation with people of different culture.
Course Russian Grammar-1 based on methods of Potapova as a course of learning Russian as a second language. This course is designed specifically for adults-English speakers. These courses are a study of fundamentals of Russian grammar, vocabulary, pattern sentences, drills, readings and cultural aspects of communication.

Russian Conversation (All level). New course will help students communicate in Russian, learn some cultural, social, political, economic aspects and serve as a guide on trip to Russia.
The goal of this class is to provide students with understanding of Russian culture, geography, politics, economics and communicate effectively on trip to Russia, speak on everyday subjects.
Students� expectations from the class study: students will learn approximately 2,000 words, phrases; be familiar with the Russian idioms; understand simple face-to-face conversation about daily routine. Students will become familiar with some Russia�s cultural heritage: famous writers, singers, political leaders, as well as other figures in the arts.
